Participants traveling to Switzerland with dogs are responsible for complying with all applicable entry regulations. The following information provides a general overview of the most important requirements.

Identification
All dogs must be clearly identifiable by a microchip compliant with ISO standards.

Pet Passport
Dogs must be accompanied by a valid European Pet Passport (or an equivalent official veterinary certificate for non-EU countries). The passport must include all relevant information on identification, vaccinations, and ownership.

Rabies Vaccination
A valid rabies vaccination is mandatory for entry into Switzerland.

• The vaccination must be administered at least 21 days before entry
• The dog must be at least 12 weeks old at the time of vaccination
• The vaccination must be valid at the time of travel

Health Requirements
All dogs must be in good health and fit for transport.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that all veterinary requirements are met and properly documented.

Animal Welfare Regulations (Switzerland)
Swiss animal welfare law requires that slip collars must be equipped with a stop to prevent them from tightening without limit.
For IGP trials in Switzerland, collars must therefore comply with the following requirements:

• The collar must not tighten indefinitely
• A fixed stop must limit the closing of the collar
• The collar must be in accordance with Swiss animal welfare regulations

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their equipment complies with these rules.

Import Regulations
Depending on the country of origin, additional requirements may apply (e.g. veterinary certificates or declarations). Participants are strongly advised to check the current regulations with the relevant authorities in advance.

Compliance with all entry requirements lies solely with the participant.
